By identifying talented dancers of all backgrounds for our residencies, Swan School provides access to training and pathways into the company and wider industry for diverse and exciting young dancers.

Swan Lake intensive

Identified through our Conservatoire programme and annual auditions, dancers are invited to Swan School because we are interested in their development and preparation for the industry. Led by New Adventures Associate Artistic Director  Etta Murfitt  and Resident Artist  Kerry Biggin, dancers are given  exclusive insight into the working practices of New Adventures and take part in panelled discussions and workshops with invited industry professionals. This residency is designed to broaden the dancers’ industry knowledge and provide them with a range of skills to support them as they embark on their artistic journeys.

Currently we are working with the young dancers from our 2019 production of Romeo and Juliet as part of our commitment to developing and supporting their training and transition into the sector.

So far thirteen previous Swan School alumni have gone on to perform with the company in various productions, including The Red Shoes  company dancer Cameron Flynn.
