Every year New Adventures delivers workshops and performances for thousands of people at Summer Festivals across England.
Last year over 1,200 people took part in our inclusive workshops for all ages, that got people moving and being creative, and we performed an adaptation of Country from Matthew Bourne's Town and Country to over 2,000 people! During June & July 2018 we delivered workshops and an excerpt from Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake ahead of our major UK tour, which begins later this year. If we caught you in your festival gear tag us in your pictures and comments across social media using #MBFestivalTour and we hope to see even more of you next year...
Gostrey Meadow, Farnham, Sunday 3 June 2018
In collaboration with Farnham Maltings, The Dance Movement & Stopgap Dance Company we held our annual FREE afternoon of dance in partnership with Farnham Town Council.
Dance in the Meadow is a means of celebrating all of the wonderful dance that happens in and around Farnham; approximately 1000 people brought a picnic blanket & settled down in Gostrey Meadow to watch some truly brilliant dance. When their toes wouldn't stop tapping they jumped up and joined in a variety of dance workshops. Take a look at some of our action shots from the day in our gallery below:
Suffolk, Friday 13 July 2018
We returned to the Waterfront Stage with two chances to catch a preview of Swan Lake and a workshop for all ages. Over 4,000 people watched Will Bozier and Liam Mower perform The Prince & Swan duet with hundreds sticking around to learn a move or two from the show. Dorset, Saturday 28 July 2018
Following the success of last year we brought two workshops for all the family to enjoy at this year's nautical themed event, which recently won Best Family Festival at the Family Traveller Awards. Hundreds immersed themselves in the world of Matthew Bourne's New Adventures with a workshop on his legendary Swan Lake and the tale of Edward Scissorhands. Camp Bestival is a multi- award winning festival that combines an all-encompassing family festival experience with an action packed camping holiday; something that they like to call a Festi-Holiday!
