In Collaboration with Farnham Maltings

In 2016 Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures became a resident company at Farnham Maltings in Surrey.

Farnham Maltings is a cultural organisation, based in south west Surrey, that exists to encourage the people of Farnham and further afield to participate in, shape and understand the world in which we live.

Below are upcoming projects that we’re delivering in collaboration with Farnham Maltings and other resident companies based there:

#ThankstoYou Workshops

Join us on Saturday 8 December for two opportunities to get involved with a workshop based on Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake at Farnham Maltings. The first workshop from 11am is for families of all shapes and sizes and at 1pm those over 18 can take part too - no dance experience required!

These workshops are free you just need to have a lottery ticket as they have been organised as part of the National Lottery's #ThanksToYou campaign as a chance for New Adventures to say thank you to National Lottery players who support our work through National Lottery funding.

Pre-booking via Farnham Box Office is advised as places are limited:

The Next Adventure Dance Taster Workshop

Earlier this year we formed ‘My Shout’, a dance group for over 55s who went on to perform at venues including Woking’s New Victoria Theatre before our performance of Cinderella, Farnham Maltings and Gostrey Meadow. Building on this exciting experience, we will be forming a new group in 2019 with more exciting opportunities to perform.

More info to follow soon.

It’s been magical – I can’t believe we got there! I am so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone to take part.

Over 55s Dance Workshops

We are pleased to offer a series of inclusive workshops for over 55s at Farnham Maltings. Get your bodies moving and learn repertoire from Bourne’s award-winning collection of work.

The workshops begin with a warm up to mobilise your joints and stretch your muscles and then you will have the chance to learn choreography from our repertoire. This is followed by creative tasks where you will make your own movement based on the choreography learnt. These workshops are open to all levels of ability and mobility.

Dates: TBC
Time: 2pm - 4pm
Cost: £8 per session
