Following the success of The Red Shoes, New Adventures returns with one of our most popular and beloved productions. Matthew Bourne’s Cinderella – a thrilling and evocative love story, set in London during the Second World War.
WORKSHOPS TO EXPLORE THEMES FROM THE SHOW
Book a workshop for your Primary or Secondary School students to explore themes from Cinderella. Created to inspire young people regardless of background or experience, with a passion for movement, our bespoke dance workshops can be tailored to any age group.
Two New Adventures dancers will lead a practical session where participants will get a chance to explore Matthew Bourne’s unique storytelling and choreographic language, learn repertoire from the show and delve into creative tasks used to create the piece. This is followed by a Q&A session.

In Our Shoes
An Immersive New Adventures Experience
Join us for a unique, two-day opportunity to step ‘In Our Shoes’ and experience first-hand what it is like to be part of New Adventures.
Day One: The Dancer in the Studio
Explore movement and themes from Cinderella through a workshop led by New Adventures dancers and create a piece of choreography inspired by the show.
Day Two: The Dancer on Stage
See the theatre through the dancers’ eyes with a backstage tour and the rare chance to watch the company take class.
Perform the choreography created on Day One to the Cinderella company on the very same stage they will dance on, then get the opportunity to gain special insights into the show through a Q&A with a company member.

Perform Live on a New Adventures Stage
An incredible chance to work with dancers from the New Adventures company to create an original piece of choreography in response to Matthew Bourne’s Cinderella and perform it for an audience.
Our curtain raisers give young aspiring dancers the opportunity to work with our world-renowned company through the exploration and development of their technical and creative skills.
Their work will result in the creation of a short piece, as a response to the themes and movement discovered in Cinderella, culminating in a performance on stage before the show.
