Applications are now open for A Summer Adventure 2019 on 23-25 August. This three-day intensive is a brilliant opportunity for dancers to delve into our World Premiere production of Matthew Bourne’s Romeo and Juliet.
Based on Romeo and Juliet, currently touring the UK, these workshop days will be led by Etta Murfitt (Associate Artistic Director), Arielle Smith (Young Associate Choreographer) and Paul Smethurst (Rehearsal Director, Young Cast). The three days will explore the repertoire and creative processes of the show to discover the characters, narrative and unique language of the production. The aim of this experience is to give a deepened understanding of the company’s signature style and work ethic in an intensive environment.
Previous A Spring and Summer Adventure alumni include current company dancers João Carolino, Paris Fitzpatrick and Cordelia Braithwaite, as well as many dancers in our current tours of Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake and Romeo and Juliet.
