Swan Lake Take Flight in Canterbury

In Canterbury we are partnering with Marlowe Theatre, where Swan Lake will be touring from 29 April to 3 May 2025.

Community Workshops

Do you run a Scout group, football team, climate change group, or something else with 10-18 years (up to 24 years if disabled)? Our Regional Dance Artists would love to share some movement from Swan Lake with your group. No experience of dance is required and there are no costs for the workshops. Workshops last up to 1 hour and will include movement-based games and exercises inspired by Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake.

We bring our workshops to you; therefore, you will need to provide a suitable venue. Each workshop is for a maximum of 25 participants.

If you are a Community Group Leader, sign up for a workshop using this form.

Meet our Regional Dance Ambassador for Canterbury, Jodie Cole. Jodie will be leading our Community Workshops.

Swan Lake Take Flight days

If you are 10-18 years old, up to 24 years if disabled, we would like to invite you to your local theatre for a New Adventures dance experience. You will play games, take part in group activities, learn movement from the show and watch a performance of Swan Lake with your parent or carer.

You do not need to have danced before and there are no costs to take part in a Swan Lake Take Flight day, we can help with transport costs if needed. Places are limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

If you are a young person and would like to take part, fill out this form to apply for a place.
