Sapphire Sumpter

Sapphire Sumpter is a freelance dancer, choreographer and workshop facilitator. Growing up in Cornwall, she then moved to London to train at vocational ballet school, followed by Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance BA(Hons).

Currently based in Cornwall, and inspired by the work of Ross McKim among others, she is launching her own company, Numinous, offering workshops and taking on choreographic commissions. Alongside this she facilitates inclusive dance sessions, drawing on her time working with AMICI in 2019/20. She also teaches ballet and contemporary in the community in Cornwall as well as running the Cornwall Dance School performance company.
