Nya Bardouille is a Sports Science undergraduate in her final year at the University of Leeds. Dance has always been a central part of her life. She spent her adolescence at the The Place on the CAT scheme and was a member of the 2017-18 NYDC cohort with Sharon Eyal as Artistic Director. Nya is eager to find a career that bridges her experiences of science and movement. Centred at the heart of Nya’s philosophy of practice is using movement to connect and facilitate the growth and empowerment of minoritized communities. Nya sees Overture as a way of exploring her ideas of using conversation to encourage people to explore their experience through movement.
