Matthew is making his debut with New Adventures in Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake 2018/19 tour as The Swan/Stranger in London, Liverpool and Tokyo only.
Other career highlights: Matthew has danced with The Royal Ballet since 2013 and was promoted to Principal Dancer in 2018. Ball’s roles with the Company include Romeo, Crown Prince Rudolf (Mayerling), Solor (La Bayadere), Basilio (Don Quixote), Prince Florimund and Bluebird (The Sleeping Beauty), Prince (The Nutcracker), Lensky (Onegin), The Young Man (The Two Pigeons), Prince Siegfried (Swan Lake), Escamillo (Acosta’s Carmen), Albrecht (Giselle). His role creations include working with Wayne McGregor, Christopher Wheeldon, Liam Scarlett, Crystal Pite and Hofesh Shechter. In 2016 he was named Best Emerging Artist at the Critics’ Circle National Dance Awards.
