Martha Scholefield

Martha Scholefield is a freelance dance artist based in the South West. She graduated with a First Class honors degree from Plymouth Conservatoire, University of Plymouth in 2018. Martha performed with Adam Benjamin and CiM Dance Company in Lisbon in 2019. Since graduating she has been working as a community dance practitioner with many roles including teaching, administration, marketing and performing as well being Dance in Devon’s project manager. She is currently teaching over 50s dance exercise sessions and is passionate about the difference dance can make physically, mentally and socially for any and all parts of the community.
Martha was a One Dance UK Ambassador and Dance Consortium Future Leader for 2019/20 and 2020/21 which was an inspiring role. Similarly Martha is looking forward to how the Overture programme will provide a space to be surrounded by like-minded creatives who are eager to grow, challenge and evolve their community dance practices.
