Lorna Chadwick

Overture 2023/24

Lorna is a freelance dance artist born and raised in Leeds. She completed her CertHE at Northern School of Contemporary Dance and went on to complete her training at London Contemporary Dance School, graduated with a first in 2018.

Lorna has worked within the community for the last five years and has recently become the Learning and Participation Dance Officer at Northern School of Contemporary Dance where she teaches a range of ages from children and young people, up to adults, in schools, community settings as well as in the NSCD studios. Lorna has a strong focus on making sessions as accessible as possible, during her freelancing career she has used dance and movement to help engage and support students within the community and believes dance is a powerful tool to support wider education in a variety of settings.

Lorna is excited for the opportunity to work with Overture and the cohort of 23/24 to develop her teaching practice further, so that she may continue developing a new dance culture for the participants she teaches and will teach in the future.
