Laura is a Senior Consultant at BOP Consulting, a global research and strategy consulting practice which specializes in Culture and the Creative Industries.
At BOP, she leads strategy projects for key clients in the MENA region. Her work in cultural asset strategy, talent, R&D and ecosystem development is informed by 20 years of experience across the cultural sector as a dancer, choreographer, actor, director and puppeteer. Working with organisations including The Royal Ballet, The National Theatre, Barbican, Sadlers Wells, Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Hollywood Bowl, Salzburg, Bregenz and Edinburgh Festivals and with artists such as William Tuckett, Kim Brandstrup, Deborah Warner, Jonathan Kent, Marianne Elliott, Aletta Collins, Club Guy and Roni and Blind Summit Theatre, Laura has developed a comprehensive view of the international performing arts landscape and a deep understanding of the challenges facing cultural institutions and the freelancers who power their creativity.
For cultural venues including major theatres, concert halls and museums, Laura has delivered income generation and business models, as well as business cases for innovative commercial models. She has led and published research on the creative freelance workforce, including a feasibility study for a creative worker income guarantee pilot programme with the University of Sussex. Prior to joining BOP, Laura was creative producer for independent dance company Sweetshop Revolution and sat on Fuel Theatre and the Greater London Authority’s Creative Freelancer taskforce convened to shape London’s recovery post pandemic.
