Katie Webb

Overview
Born in Worcester, Katie trained as a Birmingham junior and mid associate with The Royal Ballet School. She continued her training for five years at The Arts Educational School, Tring, where she graduated with honours in 2009. During her training, Katie performed with Birmingham Royal Ballet in their production of David Bintley’s ‘Still Life’ at the Penguin Cafe and Sir Peter Wright’s The Nutcracker. She also performed with English National Ballet, where she danced in Nureyev’s Romeo and Juliet, Christopher Hampson’s The Nutcracker and performed principal roles with National Youth Ballet, including Drew McOnie’s The Old Man of Lochnagar. Katie won the Cecchetti Barbara Fewster Award and the prestigious Markova Award in 2009.
Katie joined New Adventures in 2014 making her debut with the company for the 2014/2015 UK Tour of Edward Scissorhands (Candy Covitt, Sandra Grubb).
Other Career Highlights: Joined Scottish Ballet company in 2009 and during her 5 years, performances included: Matthew Bourne’s Highland Fling, Christopher Bruce’s Shift, Jiri Kylian’s 14’20”, Christopher Hampson’s Silhouette, A Streetcar Named Desire, Ashley Page’s Pennies from Heaven, Fearful Symmetries, Kenneth MacMillan’s Song of the Earth and Krzysztof Pastor’s Romeo and Juliet. Katie also appears in Matthew Bourne’s The Car Man (2015), Cinderella (2017) and Streetdance 3D.
