Emily Orme

Overture 2021-22 Cohort

Emily Orme is a movement director and choreographer based in London and the South West. She graduated from Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2014. Whilst pursuing a career as a contemporary dance performance artist Emily came across physical theatre, and found an interest in the value that movement holds in supporting text and narrative. She went on to complete a MA in Movement Directing and Teaching at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2020/21. Emily enjoys using movement to unite people and celebrate the individuality in physical expression. She delivers creative movement to Good Chance, My Ballet, Dance United and Chickenshed. Emily is thrilled to have been selected for the Overture programme, and is looking forward to developing her communication skills within accessible and inclusive practices with this year's cohort.
