Emily Cooke
Overture 2021-22 Cohort
Emily Cooke graduated from the University of Winchester with a first-class BA (Hons) in Choreography and Dance. Although Emily specialises in contemporary dance, she has been lucky enough to teach for dance schools across the Isle of Wight as a freelance teacher. Emily has taught many genres of dance and helped students enter competitions and complete dance exams. In 2020 Emily got a job at Ryde Academy teaching predominantly KS3 Dance but will be introduced to KS4 and KS5 dance as part of her training. Emily is thankful for the opportunity to work in a secondary school where dance is fully integrated into the curriculum and well established.
