Ella Guest

Overture 2024/2025 cohort

Ella is a passionate, explorative, young dance and movement artist from Yorkshire but based in Buckinghamshire. Her current projects focus on the value of young people (18-28y/o) and empowering them to break down the social constructs that hold them back, through community practice, storytelling and play. She aims to bring light to her age groups power to shape the future and gets excited when this presents radical and innovative pathways.

Ella also works closely with nature, collaborating with it and is investigating how this may grow into her dance practice. Ella sees the cross over between nature connectedness, dance and wellbeing and wants to bring this to light for others – inspiring a sense of belonging and aliveness.

Having trained at Bird College and CAPA College, she has a multi-faceted background including musical theatre, contemporary and commercial. She regularly teaches dance and movement to children in Primary Schools and loves giving them the opportunity to freely express themselves. She also teaches adult classes with the aim to bring more opportunities for play, creativity and joy.
