Alison Penn is a qualified PE and Dance teacher who specialises in working with young people at risk of being excluded from mainstream schools and those within special education settings. During her career she has used dance to help engage students and believes it is a powerful tool to support wider education. She has made it her mission to create performance opportunities for neurodiverse individuals and for young people who have limited access to dance and the performing arts.
Alongside this she teaches weekly ballet classes in the community at the Rochelle Dance Academy where she focusses on making ballet fun and inclusive and tries to challenge traditional ballet stereotypes.
