Please join us in congratulating company patron Darcey Bussell who’s been recognised for her services to dance in the New Year’s Honours List 2018.
Now Dame Darcey Bussell DBE, was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE). Bussell was "truly humbled" and dedicated her damehood for services to dance to "all the dance organisations that I am so fortunate to be part of".
As well as company patron Bussell is President of the Royal Academy of Dance and judge on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Bussell retired as a ballerina in 2007 and is widely acclaimed as one of the great British ballerinas.
