Overture Cohort for 2024-2025 Announced

New Adventures is delighted to announce the Overture cohort for 2024/2025.

Overture is a unique program designed to develop, inspire, and energise the next generation of community dance artists. Through a blend of monthly classes, guest speakers, workshops, and mentoring, the Overture cohort delve deeply into what community practice means to them. The programme supports artists to reflect on where they are now and equip them with tools to elevate their practice to the next level. The Overture cohort are able to build a supportive network and learn to harness each other's strengths to become a versatile and impactful community artist.

Our first weekend in October was about considering where the participants are now. Asking the question, where are you now and where would you like to be? The weekend consisted of a number of practical classes, which gave a basis to examine personal practice as well as thought provoking coaching and networking to bring our cohort all together. We talked, danced, laughed, and reflected, while being brave and open minded. What a weekend it was!
