Looking forward to shaping the future of New Adventures alongside these exceptional people

Welcoming new members to our Board of Trustees and celebrating Jennie Green's appointment as Executive Director.

New Adventures is delighted to welcome six new members to its board of trustees. Joining existing board members Brenda Emmanus OBE (chair), Peter Williams (vice chair), Jacquie Brunjes, Huw Morris and Jessica Ward are Laura Caldow, Jean Vianney Cordeiro, Sarah Harman, Vicki Igbokwe-Ozoagu, Phoebe Lindsay and Nora Stolz.

Their diverse backgrounds bring extensive experience across cultural leadership, strategic consultancy, financial management, safeguarding and diversity and inclusion. They will be joining at a crucial time as New Adventures develops its strategy for the next funding period and beyond.

Brenda Emmanus said today: “At a hugely significant time for New Adventures, I am delighted that we are joined by some exceptional talent that will support us in shaping our future strategy and building on the already remarkable work that has been done by the executive team, our creatives and performers. As Chair, I am proud to welcome these phenomonal individuals to the Board of Trustees.”

Matthew Bourne said today: “We are always so fortunate to have a dedicated and passionate group of experts and leaders on our Board at New Adventures. I’m particularly pleased to see that this cohort of trustees brings such diversity of experience and look forward working with them all.”

Alongside celebrating our new trustees, in 2024, Jennie Green took on a permanent post as Executive Director of New Adventures. Jennie has a longstanding relationship with the company as General Manager across New Adventures productions and she brings extensive knowledge and phenomenal passion for the company’s work.

BIOGRAPHIES

Laura Caldow is a Senior Consultant at BOP Consulting, a global research and strategy consulting practice which specialises in Culture and the Creative Industries. Prior to joining BOP, Laura was creative producer for independent dance company Sweetshop Revolution and sat on Fuel Theatre and the Greater London Authority’s Creative Freelancer taskforce convened to shape London’s recovery post pandemic.

Jean Vianney Cordeiro is a corporate finance and strategy professional, currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at Meroka. He has previously held roles in Corporate Development and Investment Banking at Pets at Home, Smith+Nephew, Morgan Stanley and RBC Capital Markets. He is a Trustee at Chichester Festival Theatre and was a Theatre Panellist for the 2024 Olivier Awards.

Sarah Harman worked for over 40 years as a solicitor firstly running her own practice and then for a large London firm. She has always worked in and campaigned on women's health issues. She also spearheaded class actions against teachers and health professionals accused of sexual abuse of their pupils/patients. She was an enthusiastic amateur dancer for some 50 years.

Vicki Igbokwe-Ozoagu is the Director of Empowerment at People Make It Work, a community of 60 cultural leaders aiding the cultural sector to change, develop and transform. She is also the founder of Uchenna, a national touring dance company that empowers, entertains, and educates through dance.

Phoebe Lindsay is a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where she specialises in supporting consumer goods companies across a range of strategy, operational, and transformation projects. Phoebe is currently on secondment from McKinsey and is an MBA student at INSEAD. Phoebe is a passionate supporter of the arts, having danced with the National Youth Ballet and the London Children’s Ballet as a child.

Nora Stolz is the founder and CEO of The Female Forum - a pan-European women leadership network whose mission it is to connect and inspire professional women within and across industries. Before her entrepreneurial journey, Nora worked for over a decade in the financial and tech industry in London and Geneva for BlackRock, Morgan Stanley, PIMCO and JP Morgan and Facebook. She holds a MA International Business, a MA International Management, and completed the Cambridge University Sustainable Leadership program in 2020.

Jennie Green began her career in theatre in 2001 working as a Production Assistant, then as General Manager for Live Nation and Back Row Productions on shows such as Tap Dogs, Gumboots, Slava’s Snowshow and latterly, Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake. Jennie founded Great Leap Forward with Kayte Potter in 2007, a booking and management agency which works with leading UK producers and venues on touring productions both nationally and internationally.

Jennie’s relationship with New Adventures spans over 20 years, first as General Manager of productions, and now as Executive Director for New Adventures. In this role, Jennie will oversee both the charity and productions for the organisation.
