GALLERY: William Patten 'Dancers in Residence' Performance

30 January 2018

Take a look at some of our photos from the day taken by Alicia Clarke and watch this space for a specially commissioned video about the project.

On Monday 22 Janaury 2018 our William Patten 'Dancers in Residence' project culminated in a performance from all 456 children from the school performing a response piece to Matthew Bourne's Cinderella.

This project involved Paul Smethurst, Project Manager & Resident Practitioner and Daisy May Kemp, Resident Artist (maternity cover), visiting the school over a six week period and working with each class once a week. The project culminated in a performance at Sadler’s Wells, with an invited audience of family, friends and guests, of a special version of Matthew Bourne’s Cinderella where each class performed a section of the story! At the end of the performance everyone was treated to a duet from Cinderella by company dancers Ashley Shaw (as Cinderella) and Dominic North (as Harry, the Pilot).
