Moving in Time, directed and choreographed by Anjali Mehra, will change pre-conceptions of what dance in care homes can be.

Dancers move forward as a group in a beautifully lit room with fairylights, we see Moving In Time written over the image

Director and Choreographer Anjali Mehra, alongside Dance Artists Emily Piercy and Alan Vincent, dancers Reece Causton, Tasha Chu, Glenn Graham and Karishma Young, has created a charming dance film with the care home residents of St Fillans Care Home, Colchester. Moving in Time celebrates who they are and the journeys that shaped them. Each moment was inspired by the connections made during movement sessions with the residents and the stories that they shared with us.

A TEA films production for New Adventures, Moving in Time was created for Magic Me’s Artists Residencies in Care Homes, in association with Excelcare. Supported by Arts Council England and Paul Hamlyn Foundation.

Moving in Time is available to watch for a limited period here.

Unfortunately, for rights reasons, we are only able to share this film in the UK. However, we invite audiences outside of the UK to watch the trailer, which captures some of the precious moments from this beautiful film.
