Edward Scissorhands Response Piece Application

Based on the classic Tim Burton movie and featuring the hauntingly beautiful music of Danny Elfman and Terry Davies, Matthew Bourne has created a bittersweet story of an incomplete boy left alone in a strange new world. Our production of Edward Scissorhands is touring throughout the UK in 2023-2024.

As part of our tour, we are working with Farnham Maltings, Surrey Libraries and Woking Borough Council to create an original movement performance with LGBTQ+ adults (18+) based on the themes of inclusion, exclusion, community and difference that are explored in the show.

A background in dance is not necessary, and we encourage disabled participants to take part. You just need to be interested in creating and performing a movement piece with a cross generational LGBTQ+ company. If you are successful and have access requirements, we are committed to removing any barriers to access that we can. There are no costs to take part in the project and we can provide assistance with transport costs if needed. You will need to be available on the dates below.
