Jordan Bretherton

Jordan Bretherton was born in Sydney, NSW and raised in Darwin, NT where he found his desire for dance. Captivated by the thrill of this unique art form, he decided to pursue professional dance. Upon acceptance into WAAPA (Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts) in 2013, He has worked with both national and internationally renowned choreographers such as Justin Rutzou, Kynan Hughes, Rhiannon Newton and Adelina Larsson and will be graduating in 2016. To expand his connections within the industry and improve his dance vocabulary, Jordan took it upon himself to travel to Europe where he seconded with Israel Aloni and Sasha Waltz. While studying full time, Jordan has been apart of several productions and also engaged in working with a hip-hop crew known as  ‘The Society’ that traveled to America and represented Australia at the Hip-Hop International in 2015. To further enhance his own skills and share his passion for dance, Jordan lead his own contemporary and hip-hop classes to varying age ranges from adolescences to adults around the Western Australian community. Jordan now aspires to explore the global dance scene all the while evolving his own chorographic style as an independent artist.
